Tabbe Designs is a ready-to-wear brand that transforms emotional research into wearable expression. Founded in 2023 by designer Talia Abbe, the label explores how internal and external stimuli shape the human experience—channeling both the chaos and clarity of emotion into sculptural silhouettes and vibrant prints. Conceived during the isolation of the COVID-19 pandemic, TABBE DESIGNS seeks to destigmatize mental health and foster a more inclusive, expressive world through fashion.

About the Designer:

Talia Abbe, a New York native, earned her Bachelor of Science in Textile and Fashion Design, along with a certificate in Entrepreneurship, from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She went on to receive a Master of Fine Arts in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). Motivated by her own experiences with mental health, Talia aims to create a positive impact on others facing similar challenges. Her work centers around fostering inclusivity and cultivating a welcoming environment. Influenced by Cognitive Abstraction, her prints reflect a conceptual depth, while her voluminous silhouettes and vibrant color palettes evoke a sense of childlike playfulness.

Tabbe Designs Bubble Wrap Collectios examines how environmental stimuli both positive and negative affect mental health. Inspired by brain scans, the collection uses cartoon-like forms and vivid neon colors to mirror the emotional extremes of a manic episode. Stress-affected areas of the body are symbolically represented through design elements like Latex, where constrictive tailoring and bubble-like silhouettes illustrate the suffocating tension of anxiety and its eventual release. Through exaggerated visuals, this collection uses humor and playfulness to challenge stigma and open up conversations around mental health.
